The Basic Idea
The basic idea of a Sabbatical Swap is for two pastors (and their families), from two different churches, to swap homes for the duration of their sabbatical. For international or longer distance swaps requiring air travel, it might be advantageous to swap vehicles as well. Pastors and churches decide together how much and what kinds of ministry the pastors will do in their host churches, if any. It should be a significantly reduced amount, or else it is no longer a Sabbatical Swap.
